Case Manager, Youth Advocacy Project:responsible for providing case management services and monitoring of youth ages 12-17 mandated to the program as an alternative to incarceration. Make home and school visits, provide individual counseling and prepare progress reports. Bachelor's degree in counseling, social work, criminal justice or related field.Clinical Director, Crossroads: responsible for day to day oversight and clinical supervision of a men’s substance abuse treatment program that works with men who have been recently released from incarceration. Oversee client intake, treatment center, achievement of project goals and objectives, contract and OASAS regulation compliance, program staffing, development and supervision. QHP, licensed master’s degree in social work or related required, CASAC preferred. Excellent written/oral communication, supervisory and project management skills.
Court Advocate, Crossroads: responsible for direct court advocacy services to women including the development of written alternative-to-incarceration plans and updates submitted to the courts and liaison with defense attorneys, judges, family, and other pertinent service providers. Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or related. Strong written/oral communication and advocacy skills with the ability to negotiate multiple service delivery systems and agencies.
Program Coordinator, Youth Advocacy Services: coordinate and direct life skills program serving youth in detention center, pre and post release. Oversee the development and implementation of curricula, supervise program staff, data collection and prepare program reports. Coordinate consultants and collaborating agencies. Master's degree in social work, criminal justice or related required. Strong written oral communication, project management, computer and supervisory skills.
Retention Specialist, Youth Services: Track youth advocacy project participants program involvement and follow up with graduates. Track program, community and criminal/juvenile justice involvement, assess needs for ongoing service, provide referrals and statistical data for reporting. Input and retrieve information from database for use in program reporting. Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or human service field preferred. Excellent computer/database management skills and strong written/oral communication.
Transitional Advocate, Crossroads: provide civil legal assistance to help men with substance abuse and criminal justice system involvement overcome barriers to reintegration including certificates of rehabilitation, criminal history review, and other legal services. JD or LMSW with strong written/oral communication.
Transitional Specialist, Youth Services: implement life skills curriculum to youth in detention center and post release, provide case management services, school and court advocacy to youth post release, prepare and submit progress reports. Bachelor’s degree in human service field and demonstrated competence facilitating curriculum/group presentations.
Human Resource Associate, Administration: responsible for assisting with human resource functioning in NYC offices including recruitment, screening, hiring, new employee orientation, benefit administration, employee relations. Bachelor's degree in human resources or equivalent. Experience working in human resources and non- profit environment (preferred). Excellent interpersonal, computer and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities/projects while maintaining high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Office Manager, Administration: responsible for overseeing administrative functioning, physical plant, computers, offices equipment and supplies for Brooklyn office. Supervises reception, program assistants, interns/peers and maintenance workers. Sets up, maintains and trouble shoots computer, phone and other office equipment. Bachelors’ degree in administration, business, computer science or related preferred. Excellent organizational, administrative, customer service and computer skills with the ability to trouble shoot hardware and software and manage multiple priorities and projects.

in Syracuse
Case Manager, REAL (Reintegration and Empowering A Life): providing supportive services to persons with substance abuse and criminal histories in community reintegration. Enroll clients, conduct assessments (social, vocational, health, mental heath, substance abuse), develop and implement comprehensive reintegration plan. BA/BS in criminal justice/human services, experience with juvenile/criminal justice population. Valid NYS Driver’s license and vehicle required.
Employment Services Specialist, PSI: assist adults and teens who have a history of involvement with substance abuse and/or the criminal justices system obtain and maintain employment and or become positioned for career advancement. Assess and develop job skills, initiate and support placements, and provide case management services to program participants. BS in rehabilitation counseling or related and experience working in job readiness programs. Valid NYS driver’s license and available vehicle required.
Outreach Specialist, Recovery Network: recruit and organize individuals in the Syracuse area who are in recovery and who have prior criminal justice experience to participate in the Recovery Network of NY. Speaks publically on behalf of the Community and advocates for the rights of people in recovery. Qualifications: Personal experience with recovery and/or criminal justice issues. Prior community organizing or related experience. Excellent communication skills.
Transitional Planner, Youth Services: provide transitional planning to assist in students’ return to mainstream schools for middle school students in the SCSD alternative school programs. Responsibilities include providing peer mediation and conflict resolution, assessment, development of individual transitional plans, including in-school and after school programming and support services, and coordination with school district personnel. BA, BS in criminal justice, social work, education, or related field, experience working with at risk teens.
Youth Advocate, Youth Services: provide training & skill development to teens on alternatives to violence & life skills, coordinate outreach to community organizations. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in human service, group facilitation skills and experience working with at risk teens.
Receptionist/Secretary: excellent interpersonal and computer skills a must for this temporary administrative position in busy non- profit criminal justice agency . Answer/route calls, greet visitors, perform word processing, data entry and clerical tasks. Business degree or equivalent practical experience.
