The clients and communities served by CCA’s Health Services in NYC have been significantly affected by the HIV/AIDS epidemic. New York State has more HIV infected people in prison than any other State and it leads the nation in the number of reported AIDS cases.
Men and women involved in the criminal justice system are educated about the risks involved in drug and alcohol use, untreated mental health issues and HIV/AIDS. CCA’s programs are open to anyone entering the community after a period of incarceration.
