David Gómez recently retired as President of Hostos Community College which was named one of the top ten community colleges in the nation during his tenure. He served as a Professor in the Department of Behavioral Sciences and Human Services at Kingsborough Community College of the City University of New York (CUNY) where he has taught since 1993. Currently, he holds the position of Adjunct Professor of Practice at North Carolina State University.

Dr. Gómez is a graduate of the State University of New York at Albany and earned both an MA in Higher Education Administration and an Ed.D in Higher and Adult Education from the Columbia University Teachers College.
