Jon Loevy is the founder and managing partner of Loevy & Loevy, a civil rights law firm devoted to social justice. Loevy started the firm out of his basement apartment shortly after graduating from law school, and the firm has since grown to almost 70 lawyers with offices across the United States. Loevy's firm focuses on cases involving police misconduct, whistleblowers, and protection of constitutional rights.

Loevy and some of the lawyers in the firm also founded the Exoneration Project, an organization devoted to exonerating men and women wrongly convicted for crimes they did not commit. The Exoneration Project has won the freedom of more than200 innocent individuals.

Loevy was recently named one of "America's Top 200 Lawyers" by Forbes magazine. In 2011, Loevy was awarded a Career Achievement award from the Chicago Law Bulletin, putting him in the select group of what was then 11 attorneys in Illinois with at least five (5) jury verdicts in Illinois courts in excess of$5 million (Loevy now has 21 such verdicts). Earlier this year, he was awarded the "Legal Legend" award by the Chicago chapter of the American Constitutional Society.
