CCA’s Healing & Wellness Center brings together free survivor services through our Healing Center and comprehensive outpatient substance use and recovery care through our Wellness Center.
Free, confidential services for adults who have experienced interpersonal or structural violence, including those impacted by incarceration and criminalization. We support people with practical needs alongside emotional care. Building on the National Trauma Recovery Center model developed at UC San Francisco, CCA’s Healing Center is the first in the nation to center people harmed by the criminal legal system and mass incarceration.
Services include: individual and group counseling, clinical case management and care coordination, psychiatric evaluation and mental-health medication support, legal advocacy and court accompaniment, crisis response, safety planning, and warm handoffs to housing, healthcare, and other essentials.
The Healing Center is supported by $1.2M from the New York City Council.
Individualized substance use and recovery care that meets people where they are. We offer medications for opioid use disorder (methadone, buprenorphine/Suboxone, naltrexone/Vivitrol), counseling, CRPA-certified peer support, health education, HIV/HCV testing, and lifesaving interventions to prevent opioid overdoses. Methadone dispensing is available onsite, and additional medications are available by prescription.
We partner closely with people returning from incarceration and those facing instability to reduce risks and support stabilization, wellness, and long-term goals.
We offer OASAS-licensed and CARF International Certified comprehensive outpatient services with telehealth designation.
